Our next meeting will be a fun-only field trip to Fredericksburg, Texas, on Friday, 13 April, 2012.  A block of rooms has been reserved in the Hangar Hotel at Gillespie County Airport, near Fredericksburg.  Please meet in the Officers Club Bar in the Hotel at 1700 or later on the 13th.  NO BUSINESS will be conducted.
 
Rooms have been reserved for Friday night but numbers are limited.  If you would like a room, please tell Chuck Oualline (spur3@satx.rr.com or 210-654-8334) NLT FRIDAY 9 MARCH, else you might not have a room.  At that time, Chuck will give you the reservation details.  People may stay over Saturday night, based on availability, but for now rooms have been reserved only for Friday.
 
The Hangar Hotel is a fun place, built from the ground up to resemble a WWII hangar of the 1940s on the outside.  The theme is reflected inside, with airplane memorabilia, model planes, USO history, and the romance of the 40s (see www.hangarhotel.com.)  The Airport Diner is next door, and many other fine restaurants are nearby.  We can visit the Nimitz Museum or other local attractions or just shop on Saturday, as you wish.
